Principal's Message

It is a great privilege and honor to serve as Jennings High School Principal.  I am happy to be a part of the Jennings High School Educational Family and part of the wonderful Jennings Community.

As we strive to carry on the history of academic excellence at Jennings High, we will continue to seek out the best educational practices, provide high quality instruction, and ensure that our students receive the most up to date curriculum.  Our faculty and staff are among the best in the state and work hard to provide our students with the educational foundation they need to be successful in school and in life.

We will be continuing our daily RTI (Response to Intervention) program this year, which is 29 minutes daily.  We will be focusing on literacy, math, and writing interventions, as well as academic enrichments.  Students who need extra help are receiving it daily, and students who seek challenges are being given multiple opportunities to excel.  This program has proven very beneficial in helping all students experience academic success.  If there is any time throughout the school year that your child needs extra help, please encourage them to ask their core teacher to pull them for daily RTI.

Finally, we extend our sincerest gratitude to the parents and community members who continually support JHS.  We continually need parent and community support to aid us in preparing students for college and career readiness, and we invite you to actively participate in the education of all children at Jennings High School.  The combined effort of our faculty and staff along with the support of our parents and community is what makes Jennings High School a great place to learn.  We look forward to working together to make this year a great year!
